Algreen Liner Kit Installation Guide

Pond Instructions

Mark the desired outline for your pond with a rope or garden hose. Remove sod, then dig out the shelves. Most ponds are designed with shelves 9" to 12" below water level to hold plants. Dig out area of pond. Pond sides should slope in about 20 degrees from the vertical. Using a flat spade, cut a ledge 2" to 3" deep around the edge of the pond for edging material. Check the edges of the hole with a level. Prepare the hole for the liner by removing sharp stones or roots. Fabric underlay is recommended. Carefully place the pond liner in the hole. Start filling the pond with water. Smooth out wrinkles in the liner. Cut off any excess liner, leaving enough material to extend underneath whatever edging you have planned. Anchor the liner with long nails around the edge. Add edging materials to weigh down and hide the liner for a natural look. Now landscape and enjoy!

Pump Instructions

  1. Remove the pump for its packaging and attach the desired fountain head to the telescopic riser.
  2. Insert the telescopic riser into the top of the diverter; be sure to push the riser all the way in so the hole through the riser is completely covered.
  3. Twist the diverter into the pond pump. Place the pre-filter into the filter case and attach to the front of the pump.
  4. Once the pond is filled with water, place the pump into the pond. Run the cord over the side of the pond and plug it into a GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter), or an outlet that include a group fault interrupter.

Please note:

The waterbell fountain head can be adjusted by turning and lowering the head slightly. The fountain water flow can both be adjusted by turning the grey knobs on the pump diverter.
