GardenSuperMart.com is concerned about our environment. Our landfills are constantly growing and there are still a lot of corporations that don't have recycling programs for their products. One such company is The Clorox Company, which owns the Brita Products Company in North America.

The Clorox Company has taken many steps in the right direction with encouraging its customers to reuse water bottles and is at the forefront of developing natural cleaning products. We applaud them in these situations, but there are still ways they can create more environmentally friendly products and be more responsible for their products. One that comes to mind is the fact that the Brita filters are all disposable and non-recyclable. When you consider that Brita is the primary faucet-mount filter in Canada and the second largest faucet-mount filter in the USA, as well as having the #1 market share of pour-through filter cargridges in North America, that adds up to a lot of filters sitting in our landfills.

We want to help encourage The Chlorox Company to put together a recycling program for their filters.

We need your help!

Green Tip:

Prevent Erosion by using plants that cover the entire ground surface. Erosion removes the top soil and can clog waterways with it.
